The Congressional Budget Office has projected the federal budget deficit at $1.3 trillion for 2011. While law-abiding families in America are forced to live within their means, the federal government is borrowing from countries like China to continue to fund wasteful and duplicative government programs that do not add value to American families.
Soaring annual deficits and a mounting federal debt have deleterious effects on an already struggling economy; we are weakening the dollar, accelerating inflation, and effectively making foreign goods more expensive and depressing our own wages. There is only one way to end the country's chronic annual deficits: stop the government's spending spree!
It's time for Congress to live within its means and to do its job. We must cut waste, fraud, abuse, and eliminate unnecessary programs even while the Congress has abrogated its authority and handed its responsibilities to a Super Committee. Join us in telling Congress to stop the spending!
